Zinedine Zidane seems to have lost faith or has overlooked Luka Jovic as the Serbian has been left out for the past few fixtures

Zinedine Zidane’s tactical masterclass against Inter Milan saw Real Madrid clinch their first three points in the 2020/21 Champions League campaign. However, despite the victory against Inter, Zidane has once again come under the spotlight of the media. The French manager has been accused in the past of favourtism and being diplomatic as stars such as Gareth Bale, James Rodriguez, Dani Ceballos and Marcos Llorente faced similar situations.

Luka Jovic is the recent addition to the list of players that have not gotten along well with Zidane for reasons that remain unknown. The above mentioned players along with Luka Jovic are world-class calibre footballers, however, all of them have faced an issue with the Frenchman.

Jovic was signed last season for 60 million euros, however, the former Bundesliga man barely featured for the Whites due to injuries, off-field issues, and Zidane’s blind faith in Karim Benzema. However, the French manager stated that the Balkan striker would have a more important role this season.

Zidane’s statements to the press are always fined tuned with a touch of diplomacy. Even so, after stating that 22-year-old will have an important role this season, the Serbian striker has not played a single minute of football since the Shakhtar Donetsk game.

Many expected that Zidane would bring Jovic on when Real Madrid faced Borussia Monchengladbach and was in dire need of a goal, however, the Frenchman did not opt for the striker. The same followed against Huesca in the league and against Inter Milan in the Champions League.

Mundo Deportivo reports that the 22-year-old has grown fed up and wants a loan move this winter transfer market. Luka Jovic has been linked with a move to West Ham United and Leicester City as both the Premier League clubs are willing to battle it out for the young promising striker.

Where next for the Serbian? Should he continue at Real and fight for a spot? or should he make his way out this January?
