Paris Saint-Germain has shown serious interest in signing Vinicius Jr of Real Madrid as an ideal replacement for Neymar.

The 2019-2020 season has been one for the youngsters. With exceptional performances by the youth around Europe, the future of football seems to be quite promising and entertaining. One of these players from La Liga has been a 20-year-old Brazilian winger Vinicius Junior, who currently plays for Real Madrid.

When the former Flamengo player arrived at Madrid, there were comparisons of the player with Brazilian star Neymar due to the deadly dribbling skills they both possess. With plenty of transfer speculations that Neymar Jr himself would be joining the Galacticos, the addition of the youngster came as a surprise to many.

Vinicius has been a very big asset for Los Vikingos, the youngster has been causing trouble along the left flank for the opposition the whole season, with his pace and impressive skills which allow him to pass through defenders with ease. One thing, however, the 20-year-old has struggled with is his finishing in front of goal, an attribute due to which coach Zinedine Zidane prefers the likes of Eden Hazard or Marco Asensio leading the attack from the left, as was seen against the Manchester City game when Los Blancos were desperately in need of goals.

Due to the incredible talent he possesses, many teams from across Europe have come knocking on club president Florentino Perez’s door to potentially secure a move for the Brazilian, the most prominent of which has been PSG.

The Ligue-1 champions have been greatly interested in the player, and think would be a great investment for the future. However, none of the deals have gone further than just the talking stage as Perez is very fond of the winger and considers him as a key player for years to come.

As for the opinion of Vinicius, he wants to stay in the Spanish capital and wants to prove his worth to Zidane and show him that he has his place in the team. Instead of being angry at the Frenchman for not getting enough playtime, the 20-year-old is more frustrated at his situation and plans to change that with the seasons to come.

As of now, Vinicius refuses to leave the Bernabeu, even for a loan, and with the support of the staff and Florentino Perez, a permanent transfer seems out of the question for now. The young Brazilian is determined to gain the trust of Zidane and try and secure a spot in his starting eleven. With Real Madrid looking to aim for more trophies next season, only time will tell what is in store for the pacy number 25.
