Tottenham Hotspur have had a rather successful summer transfer market and could this revamp see them finally lift a trophy?

Tottenham Hotspur has done productive business in the transfer window and has been able to acquire some of the best talents in Europe. Spurs have bought players like Sergio Reguilon, Matt Doherty, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg to add depth to their squad and have also been successful in bringing back Gareth Bale from Real Madrid.

The Lilywhites have also invested in their defensive positions with players like Reguilon and Doherty as the club has been heavily involved in improving their defence which was extremely poor last season. This summer, Tottenham Hotspur had concentrated on improving the weaknesses in their present squad and zeroed in on targets which would not only improve the side but also help the side compete with the top clubs in Europe.

The addition of Gareth Bale has provided Spurs with the much-needed edge in terms of possessing another world-class winger. At present, the Welshman is sidelined with a minor knee injury and is expected to make his Tottenham debut after the international break. When asked about Bale’s injury problems, Mourinho responded saying that he is confident that Bale, with constant coordination with the medical and sports science team, will get back the level he needs to be at.

Tottenham Hotspur will be keen to operate the deadly trio of Kane, Son, Bale in their lineup and are hopeful that their new full-backs will complement the front three more effectively this season. At present, Jose Mourinho’s side has had a decent start to their Premier League campaign as the club has bagged 7 points in their first 4 games. Spurs handed the Red Devils one of their worst defeats in the Premier League as Spurs humiliated United at Old Trafford putting six goals past them.

In the ongoing season, the north London club would be fighting for a maiden Premier League trophy and a Europa League title as well which seems quite attainable. The club would also fancy their chances of winning domestic trophies as Jose Mourinho has been hailed as one of the best managers in knockout competitions.
