Real Madrid are set to sacrifice Takefusa Kubo this season to sign a Zidane’s wanted midfielder who is considered to be the ideal replacement for Luka Modric
Florentino Perez and Zinedine Zidane of Real Madrid have been highly impressed by the performance that Takefusa Kubo has put on for RCD Mallorca this season in the La Liga Santander. The Japanese forward was sent on loan this season to Mallorca to get the much-required game-time after Real had announced the signing of Rodrygo Goes.
Takefusa Kubo has proven his worth this season after scoring four goals and providing four assists in just 23 league games. However, the left-footed winger will be returning to the Santiago Bernabeu and many rumours claim that Zidane wants to send him on another loan to a club that could provide him Champions League football.
Sevilla seemed to be the ideal club that Real had shortlisted as the club believes that Seville based team would make most out of their talent after performing the same with Sergio Reguilon. However, reports from Diaro GOL now claim that Los Blancos have negotiated a grand deal with Ajax Amsterdam that would see Kubo swap places with Donny van de Beek.
The Japanese forward would be sent on a two-year loan to Amsterdam to grow as a footballer at one of the world’s best clubs for youngsters to fulfill their potential. In return, Ajax would offer Donny van de Beek who has been a favourite at the president box of the Bernabeu.
Zidane and Florentino Perez consider the Dutch midfielder to be the ideal replacement for Luka Modric who is set to turn 35 next month. The report claims that Real would have to pay 35 million euros along with Kubo on a two-year loan deal. It is rumoured that 25 million euros would be paid this season and the next set of payments would be made after the completion of a year.
Ajax has already lost out on Hakim Ziyech and next on the line is Donny van de Beek and Nicolas Tagliafico who continue to be the centre of attention for several top-clubs. Tagliafico has been on the agenda of Chelsea as a possible signing to replace Marcos Alonso.
The Dutch side believes that Kubo’s arrival for two years would prove to be fundamental for them in the league and in Europe. A move to Ajax would also improve the youngster’s capability and after the completion of his loan, he could return as a complete matured winger ready to lead the attack of Real Madrid.
