Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic is willing to leave the club in the transfer window as he grows frustrated with the lack of game time

Luka Jovic was one of the standout performers in the 2018/19 season. His goal-scoring exploits saw him make a 60 million switch from Eintracht Frankfurt to Real Madrid last summer. Since his arrival last June, the forward has barely featured for Los Blancos.

According to latest reports, Jovic is said to be considering a move away from the Spanish capital. The reason for this decision has been the limited game time offered by Zinedine Zidane who had opted to play Karim Benzema for the majority of the 2019/20 season.

The French manager is known for his squad rotation skills, however, the Serbian forward has not got the game time he expected. In the 2019/20 season, Jovic managed 27 appearances with only 2 goals across all competitions. The former Benfica striker has had a tough time in his debut season. His injuries and lack of game adaptation have contributed to his misery along with a few personal life issues as well.

The presence of Benzema in Zidane’s starting lineup means that the Serbian striker won’t be provided a starting spot for most of the fixtures. According to Marca, the club hierarchy and Zidane are not insistent on giving up the Serbian striker for sale and might settle for a loan deal. The club wants what’s best for him even if it requires the Serbian to go on loan to a club where he will get regular starts and more playing time.

Clubs like AC Milan, Hertha Berlin, and other Bundesliga clubs have shown interest to secure the services of the 22 year-old striker. At present, Jovic is considering all the options available to him as the player is desperate to play regular football. The Serbian international has to make a quick decision about his future at the club as the transfer window will be closing on October 5th.
