Real Madrid reignites their interest in the Spanish midfielder after falling to procure him in the first attempt
It seemed all but done when Real Madrid came calling for the Napoli midfielder, Fabian Ruiz. However, the deal fell through due to various reasons and things went back to how they were.
Considered as one of the best midfielders in Serie A, Fabian Ruiz has earned these titles with his impressive performances over the past few seasons. In his time with Napoli, the Spaniard has managed to make more than 91 appearances, scoring 11 goals and assisting 10 times in all competitions. The 24-year-old has made a good start to the new season, registering 345 minutes for the Gli Azzuri in the Italian League.
In recent developments, reports suggest that Spanish giants Real Madrid have reignited their interest in Napoli’s star midfielder. As Toni Kroos, Luka Modric reach crucial stages in their respective careers, Los Merengues look to replace the dynamic duo in the coming years in order to secure their position in the long run.
Fabian has been an integral member of the Napoli squad since the arrival of the Italian manager, Gennaro Gattuso. The former AC Milan highly regards Spaniard’s game sense and he is not keen on letting Ruiz join the Spanish champions for a small price. The club from Naples value their player in the region 50 million euros and would not be listening to any offers below the evaluated amount.
24-year-old possess the technical ability, passing quality, and shooting prowess which could be extremely beneficial for the La Liga champions for years to come. However, Real Madrid could lower the transfer value as Fabian is keen to earn a switch to Santiago Bernabeu.
Reports also suggest that Los Blancos could face stern competition to sign the former Real Betis midfielder who has been observed by top clubs in Europe such as Liverpool and Madrid’s arch-rivals FC Barcelona. A move for the Spanish international is certainly on the cards as time passes by in Naples, Napoli currently occupies 2nd spot and would looking towards ending Juventus’ domestic dominance as they aim for silverware this season.
