Real Madrid are readying a massive offer to land Paris Saint-Germain ace Kylian Mbappe in the summer of 2021.
Kylian Mbappe is the prime objective for Florentino Perez and Zinedine Zidane for 2021 and for that reason, the Real Madrid president and coach have decided against making a single signing this year. With that said, it was thought that the France international could indeed arrive in Spain this summer, but the coronavirus pandemic ruled out a move.
Perez will once again send his negotiating party to Paris to close out a transfer for a player who has been linked with a switch to the Santiago Bernabeu ever since he gained prominence. The 73-year-old is expecting a massive price tag for Mbappe’s signing but will be in a bargaining position given that his contract ends a year later.
Don Balon now claims that Paris Saint-Germain are likely to ask for 180 million euros for the quicksilver youngster. The 21-year-old is a long-term investment for any club and will definitely be worth the money, however, given the possibility of landing him for free one year later, the Whites’ chief will look to negotiate a player plus cash swap deal.
Vinicius Junior could well be the player used as a sacrificial pawn by Perez considering the number of other players available in his role and the lack of adaptability regarding his roles. The left winger is a superstar and has done a really good job in the last two seasons for the Merengues, but his finishing has cost him criticism and has been a major let-down.
Besides the Brazil international, Real Madrid will also pay 100 million euros for Mbappe. However, one may question the fruition of the deal considering how well Vinicius and Mbappe might get on, on the field. Speaking of quality, they are probably the two best youngsters out there and the 19-year-old only needs to brush his finishing up.
In addition to that, Vinicius had scored five goals in 2019/20 season, which is not a very bad return given that he isn’t a guaranteed starter or the best of finishers, just yet. Moreover, he adds an incredible pace to the attack which will allow Los Blancos to wreak havoc in the frontline if the duo and a third attacker, possibly Luka Jovic or Rodrygo in the long run, click.
