Real Madrid are on the verge of their first galactico signing of the summer
Real Madrid has shifted gears since the resumption of the La Liga Santander after the upliftment of the lockdown rules imposed by the Spanish government. Zinedine Zidane has managed to secure all 21 points from the seven fixtures that have been played since the league has resumed and the French manager has fielded a different lineup each time the Los Blancos stepped onto the pitch.
With just four easy fixtures left in the league, it seems like Real are favourites to lift their 34th La Liga title which would be Zinedine Zidane’s second league title as a manager prior to his first championship in 2017. As the league comes to an end, Florentino Perez and Zidane have turned their attention towards the summer market.
Achraf Hakimi has been the first official departure from Real for the summer and next on the list includes the likes of James Rodriguez, Gareth Bale, Marcelo, Brahim, and Mariano Diaz. Nacho Fernandez has been left out from the list as the club considers the Spaniard to fill in Hakimi’s role along with Alvaro Odriozola who is set to return from Bayern Munich this season after winning the Bundesliga title.
Diaro GOL reports that Paul Pogba of Manchester United would be the first galactico signing of the summer ahead of Sadio Mane of Liverpool. Mane has been heavily linked, however, Jurgen Klopp has no plans of letting any of the front three forwards leave as he hopes to keep his Premier League-winning squad intact for the 2020/21 season.
Florentino Perez and Zinedine Zidane have prepared a 100 million euro offer for their wanted French midfielder and have kept James Rodriguez and Gareth Bale as standby players to be offered in a swap deal plus cash revised offer.
If Pogba is to be unveiled this summer as a Real Madrid footballer, then Luka Modric who is set to turn 35-years-old this summer would be sold this summer. Modric has been linked with a few clubs from the Serie A and Pogba’s arrival would confirm his departure despite being on contract until 2021.
