Real Madrid are handed a massive boost in their pursuit to sign one of the world’s most talented young midfielder next summer
Real Madrid has been on the look for a suitable young midfielder as a backup for their Brazilian midfielder Casemiro, who has been a pivotal figure at the club since Zinedine Zidane was first appointed as the manager of the club in the 2015/16 season.
Florentino Perez and Zinedine Zidane believe that Renne’s Eduardo Camavinga is the ideal candidate to act as the backup for Casemiro and the youngster could even one day potentially replace the Brazilian midfield maestro.
Camavinga was all set to sign for Los Blancos and it seemed like the French international would complete his dream move to the Santiago Bernabeu over the summer transfer market of 2020. However, Real has called off the negotiations as the club faces a severe financial crisis and Renne has demanded a figure close to 80 million euros that does not work with the limited budget that Zidane has at his disposal.
Camavinga will continue at Rennes next season and the player will also play in the Champions League for the very first time after the club secured a top three finish in the Ligue 1 table. However, AS reports, that the French central-defensive midfielder will not sign a contract extension in the summer of 2021 as the player and the agent will push a move towards Real.
Eduardo Camaving’s contract is set to expire in the summer of 2022 and if the player does not sign a contract next year then the French side would have no other option but to cash in on the young midfielder.
The reports states that Real could possibly sign Camavinga for just 40 milllion euros which is half the amount that Rennes have demanded this season for their superstar. It is also expected that Real Madrid would also push a bid forward to sign Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain in 2021 as well.
Would you want to see both the Frenchmen at the Santiago Bernabeu next summer?
