Real Madrid plan a masterclass plan to attempt to sign Neymar
Real Madrid has been monitoring _Neymar_ since his days in Santos. The Los Blancos were prepared to sign the Brazilian in 2012, however, Florentino Perez was not willing to meet the price that Santos imposed on their wonderkid which then saw the Brazilian move to Barcelona instead.
The four years Neymar spent in Barca was nothing short of magic. The Brazilian formed the world’s most dangerous attacking trio along with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez that terrorized defences each time they graced the field. However, the Brazilian’s switch the Paris Saint-Germain in 2017 was so sudden and was completely out of the blue.
Neymar had decided to create his own legacy and not live under the shadow of Leo Messi by moving to Paris, however, his sudden departure along with the way he left the club was not taken well by several officials. Nonetheless, his departure marked the arrival of Ousmane Dembele as his immediate replacement.
Dembele has struggled since his debut season at Barca and has mostly been injured. The French forward’s failure meant that the board had no other option but to recall Neymar who was struggling in Paris as well.
Although the Brazilian has won three Ligue 1 medals with PSG so far, his ulterior motive was to help the club conquer their first Champions League trophy which has not yet gone to play. The Brazilian has now been pushing for a move back to Spain as hopes to lift Europe’s most elite trophy once again alongside Messi, Suarez, and now Antoine Griezmann.
Barca and Neymar desperately want to reunite this summer, however, the pandemic has left the coffers of the Catalan club empty which has eliminated all possibilities of the former winger making his move back to the Camp Nou.
Don Balon reports that Real Madrid has now shown interest in signing the former Santos man. The Los Blancos plan on generating roughly 180 million euros this summer through player sales. James Rodriguez and Gareth Bale would be the two departures that Real plan to cash in on.
The 180 million euros gathered from the player sales this summer will reportedly be used to sign the world’s most expensive footballer. However, his arrival would mean that Eden Hazard would have to shift to the right-wing.
Florentino Perez has also planned to convince the player to snub his former club for Real by offering a huge commission to his father who has a major say in his son’s football career. Perez has once again outdone Bartomeu and it seems like Barcelona can write off the return of Neymar.
