Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane might play a big role in the transfers of his international teammates to the Spanish giants.

Real Madrid has come up this season as a very formidable team. After the disappointments of the 2018-2029 season with shambolic performances in every competition they were involved in, Los Blancos have had a relatively strong comeback showing consistency and great defensive work under Zinedine Zidane. Real managed to lift the LaLiga trophy but still missed out on a convincing Champions League run and got knocked out of the Copa Del Ray.

Even with the most impressive defensive record in the club’s history, the Merengues could not keep that up in the UCL as they were missing their star defender Sergio Ramos. Real Madrid has also struggled with their forwards, Karim Benzema being the only attacker out of the lot, to actually consistently score. To reclaim their throne as the kings of Europe, Zidane has to bring quite a lot of reinforcements and integrated them into the team.

If reports are to be believed, France international Raphael Varane who plays for Madrid might help in securing a few transfers. The Frenchman has been called for international duty and his presence in the France national team might do a huge favor for Florentino Perez as he can be a very convincing factor for a few transfer targets in the team. The Galacticos have two players in mind they would be looking to makes moves on, the names being Eduardo Camavinga and Kylian Mbappe.

Camavinga, who is currently 17 has been incredible this season helping Stade Rennais secure the number 3 spot in Ligue-1. Top teams in Europe have been after the midfielder and being so young the performances of the Frenchman are only to be seeing an upwards slope. If a move to the Bernabeu is to happen for the youngster, he would make an excellent backup and a possible future replacement for Luka Modric, strengthening the youth aspect of the team even further. As Perez has announced that the club won’t be making any expensive signings this summer, a move for the 17-year-old might still be possible as his price tag is to be relatively cheaper.

The other target for the team is none other than Mbappe. The 21-year-old has been a prodigy, with excellent displays of footballing talent, even in the big stages of the game. He was the only teenager to score in a World Cup final after Pele himself and due to his footballing abilities is even compared to perhaps two of the greatest footballers the world has ever seen, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. Already receiving such praise, it makes one wonder how much better the former Monaco man can be as he is yet to hit his prime. In recent times, Madrid has made it pretty obvious that they will be adding the Frenchman to their team, and its known news that sooner or later he would be playing for the La Liga champions.

The Mbappe’s current future, however, remains to be with Paris Saint-Germain as his contract is till the year 2022 and Real have refused to make any expensive signings due to the economic situations caused by the coronavirus pandemic. Raphael Varane might have a very big influence to play to secure these 2 moves as there are a lot of international matches coming up along with the Euros next year and he would be spending more time with his teammates.

It remains to be seen however what moves will be made by Los Vikingos in the upcoming seasons and how they will be looking to strengthen their squad after the key old players of the club depart.
