Predicted Real Madrid line-up for the visit to Cadiz in La Liga

Real Madrid will hope to win in Cadiz to keep their chances of defending La Liga alive when they return to action on Wednesday evening.

Real Madrid travel to Cadiz in La Liga for the first time in 15 years as they hope to extend their 15-match unbeaten run in all competitions. After two 0-0 stalemates against Liverpool and Getafe in the last week, Zinedine Zidane will be hoping to get a positive result against the Pirates, who won the reverse fixture in Madrid earlier this season.

Los Blancos are buoyed by the returns of Dani Carvajal and Raphael Varane from injury, whereas Casemiro and Nacho Fernandez are available having served suspension too. Luka Modric and Toni Kroos miss out though, but it is presumed that they are only rested. Eden Hazard, Federico Valverde, Ferland Mendy and Sergio Ramos aren’t a part either.

Thibaut Courtois will keep his place in goal after an inspiring performance in the last two matches. He will hope to keep a third straight clean sheet away from home during the match. Raphael Varane will return to the heart of defence after fully recovering from the coronavirus, next to the in-form Eder Militao who has helped himself to a lot of praise.

Alvaro Odriozola is likely to return to the bench amid his lacklustre form, which means Nacho will step in as the right-back. Carvajal has only just returned from a lengthy injury and his involvement could only be limited as a substitute. Marcelo will continue as the left back but must improve the defensive aspect of his game soon.

Casemiro has gotten a much-deserved rest over the weekend and will return to the fray against Cadiz in defensive midfield. A lack of midfielders could see Marco Asensio occupying the engine room next to Isco. Both the players have been inconsistent to say the least throughout the season and must prove their qualities when handed another start apiece.

Rodrygo has had his involvement limited to appearances off the bench lately, but he will get a second successive start on the right flank. The Brazilian will have a familiar face on the opposite wing, as Vinicius Junior will occupy the left-hand side. Karim Benzema was not a starter last time around but will make a return in this match to assume the strike position.
