High flying Liverpool welcome struggling West Brom to Anfield in Sam Allardyce’s first big test since his return to management.
Liverpool were top of the table at Christmas and host relegation-battling West Brom at the Anfield. The defending champions have won the last 32 of 33 Premier League games on home soil and will look to extend their lead at the top of the table again.
West Brom had an impressive away outing last time against Manchester City and will look for another result against Liverpool. Sam Allardyce was the last manager to win at Anfield with his Crystal Palace side and will look to repeat his magic.
Alisson has been in impressive form and will continue to keep his place in goal for Liverpool. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson will play full backs and will provide a creative spark against a side that will keep a low block against Liverpool.
Fabinho and Joel Matip will start as centre backs and will provide their aerial prowess to counter the set pieces of West Brom.
Jordan Henderson who is ever-present in the Reds’ lineup will lead them once more with Georginio Wijnaldum and Curtis Jones. Wijnaldum, who has been in fine form will hope to continue that again, while Curtis Jones, who has kept Naby Keita out of the lineup in crucial games this season will look for another opportunity to cement his place.
Mohamed Salah who has been in red hot form this season will look to continue his incredible run at Anfield alongside Sadio Mane who return to the scoresheet last weekend following a rough patch. Roberto Firmino always finds his scoring form in December will look to finish the year with a bang.
Liverpool will hope to be flawless in the festive run to give them a big boost in the title race.
