Barcelona are back in La Liga action on Tuesday at Levante and in need of a win to keep their fading title hopes alive.
Barcelona will lock horns with Levante at Estadi Ciutat de València on Tuesday night as they look to pick up a win and keep themselves firmly in the Spanish title race. The draw against Atletico Madrid was a blow to their hopes of winning the league but the race is not over yet after Real Madrid dropped points against Sevilla. The Catalans must take all three points against Paco Lopez’s side.
Sergio Busquets is a doubt after suffering a facial fracture against Atletico but otherwise, Ronald Koeman has no new injury worries. Marc-André ter Stegen will feature in between the sticks for Barca after securing a clean sheet in his last league outing.
Koeman could opt for a back three of Ronald Araujo, Gerard Pique, and Clement Lenglet for this game. All three centre-backs will have to be solid at the back if the Catalan giants are to come out on top on Tuesday night.
Sergio Busquets was taken off against Atletico for a concussion precaution after colliding with Stefan Savic, but the Spaniard was spotted in training earlier today and has made the squad list. His importance has been reinstated this season, and Barça’s midfield was not the same after he left the game
Antoine Griezmann will play alongside Lionel Messi as Koeman’s primary strikers up top. Both of them struggled to be clinical in the final third. Hence, Koeman will rely on Lionel Messi’s brilliance once again as the Argentine maestro still possesses the ability to win this game for the Catalan side.
