Paul Pogba‘s dream move to Real Madrid depends on Zinedine Zidane‘s future at the Spanish club, according to reports
Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane, has been a long time admirer of the Manchester United star midfielder, Paul Pogba. The World Cup winner has confirmed his desire to play at Real Madrid one day as he aims for a move away from the Red Devils, by ending his second spell at the English club.
However, the move seems illogical and expensive for Los Blancos, who later dropped their interest after comprehending the price for the French international, being 115 million euros. A deal that would have dented Los Blancos hope for signing Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain.
Pogba’s arrival at the Spanish club also depends upon the Zidane’s future, Pogba’s move would be a no-brainer for the French coach if he chooses to continue for the next couple of season at the Santiago Bernabeu. However, if Zidane decides to leave the 33 times La Liga champions, scenarios could drastically change and a move could be ruled out for the former Juventus midfielder.
Real have also shown serious interest in signing Eduardo Camavinga of Rennes. The 17-year-old French midfielder is also eager on joining forces with Zinedine Zidane next summer as the player has no intention of renewing his current contract with the Ligue 1 side.
Meanwhile, Pogba’s tenure at Manchester United seems to be moving towards the final phase as the player has now fallen out with the manager and the board. The recent defeat against Tottenham Hotspur at the Old Trafford sparked a lot of attention towards the French midfielder’s poor attitude on the field and many believe that he should make his way out as soon as possible.
With 8 months left on his current contract, it seems highly unlikely that the World Cup winner would renew his contract with the English club and would be hoping to secure a move away to Real Madrid under dire circumstances of accepting a massive pay cut and a free transfer.
