Paris Saint-Germain are looking to sign one of Manchester United’s best players in recent years during the summer transfer window.
Marcus Rashford, 22, has been brilliant at Manchester United over the last few years. He is probably the main reason behind the club’s success. On-field he has impressed and off-field his heroics have made the headlines of late.
According to the Independent, Paris Saint-Germain are closely looking at the English star and are now are attempting to bring him to the Parc des Princes. PSG boss Thomas Tuchel is a big fan of Rashford’s play, work-ethic and leadership skills on and off the pitch.
He feels that the Red Devils do not realize the true potential of the forward and that he would be better suited in the Ligue 1. This is not the first time that the 22-year-old has been linked with a move away from the club. Last season there were heavy links between Barcelona and the forward. However, the Blaugrana never acted on it because they were closer to landing Antoine Griezmann.
It seems that Thomas Tuchel is of the opinion that Rashford will perfectly complement the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar and that will lead to the formation of a formidable trio. Moreover, there have been some heavy links between Mbappe, and Real Madrid with the Whites set to be preparing a massive multi-million bid to secure his services.
Mbappe will be the ultimate replacement of Cristiano Ronaldo in Spain’s capital. Therefore, the former Borussia Dortmund boss believes that Rashford can also form a long-term replacement for Mbappe should the French superstar decide to pursue his career at Real Madrid.
Rashford is highly valued at the Old Trafford and he enjoys a good relationship with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. In addition to that, the morale of the team is high now, which is why Rashford and his manager are content with things the way they are. However, should the PL giants decide to raise funds in a bid to secure the services of Jadon Sancho, they will likely put a price tag of a sum in excess of £100 million over the superstar’s head.
This deal in all probability will not take place because of three reasons.
One, Manchester United will not let him go the because they understand his value and two, Rashford loves Manchester United and believes that his true development can only take place at the Old Trafford. For now, United do not seem to have anything to worry about except a Champions League spot while keeping faith in the Englishman to stay at his boyhood club for a few more years, at least.
Lastly, Paris Saint-Germain have already landed Mauro Icardi on a permanent deal from Inter Milan as a replacement for Edinson Cavani. In their lofty and star-studded team, it’s certainly impossible that any forward will be ready to assume a fringe role which entirely puts off the prospect of Rashford moving to the capital of France, at least until Neymar or Mbappe vacate their place.
