Paris Saint-Germain name their final offer to Barcelona for the departure of Neymar

Neymar has been the prime target of Barcelona this summer along with Lautaro Martinez of Inter Milna, however, the Brazilian winger was expected to be signed last summer according to the several rumours. The Catalans caught everyone by a surprise after they announced Antoine Griezmann last summer ahead of Neymar which then ruled out all the possibilities of his return.

Nonetheless, Antoine Griezmann’s move to Barcelona has not worked out as it was expected by many. The former Atletico Madrid striker has mostly been played out of position this season under Ernesto Valverde and Quique Setien which has limited the French international’s lethal goal-scoring abilities.

Rumours also state that Griezmann is unhappy with the way he has been treated at Camp Nou and his five-minute appearance against his former side Atletico Madrid was considered as humiliating gesture shown by Quique Setien. The forward has been linked with a move to Juventus that could possibly benefit the 29-year-old to find his form once again.

Meanwhile, Barca focuses on signing Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain after Messi has deemed the signing of the Brazilian and Lautaro Martinez as the two most crucial signings for the club to ensure success for the 2020/21 season.

El Chiringuito on Twitter has reported that PSG is willing to part with the world’s most expensive footballer for 80 million euros plus Ousmane Dembele. An offer that Barca cannot believe as they are eager to get rid of Dembele who has been a massive failure at the club due to his long list of injuries that have cost him over 60 games since 2017.

Manchester United have also shown interest in signing the former Borussia Dortmund winger as they eye Jadon Sancho as their primary target, however, Sancho’s price tag remains fixed despite the impact of the pandemic which makes the signing of the player less likely.

Dembele has been considered as the backup for Sancho, however, the French footballer has reportedly turned down the offer as he wishes to stay on at the Camp Nou till the summer of 2022 when his contract expires.

Now it is all up to Josep Maria Bartomeu to convince Dembele and his agent for a move to Paris so that the Catalans can finally sign Neymar who left them in 2017 for a world record transfer fee worth 222 million euros.
