Manchester United have come to a decision regarding Jadon Sancho, who has been a wanted property across Europe.
Donny van de Beek is on his way to the Old Trafford to complete a deal which only started a few days ago. Ajax Amsterdam and Manchester United share a very fruitful relationship and the price for the Dutch midfielder was set at 40 million euros, which was matched by the Red Devils without any negotiation, according to Mirror.
It is believed that the contract that 23-year-old is going to sign at the Old Trafford will run for five years, with a further year’s extension a possibility. This signing makes United’s midfield one of the most creative and lethal in the Premier League, consisting of the likes of Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes already.
The Netherlands international was also linked with a move to Barcelona and Real Madrid, but the Spanish clubs were ultimately thwarted by Manchester United. This, however, might change things significantly for the Red Devils.
It is no secret that they have been on the market for Jadon Sancho for quite some time now and it is to be believed that Sancho still remains their priority and the addition to the right winger’s area that they are looking to make in spite of van de Beek’s move.
Borussia Dortmund have been demanding a fee in excess of 100 million pounds and Ed Woodward is not willing to go higher than 80 million pounds. Seeing that they cannot shell out cash on a mutually agreed sum, the German outfit might just drop down their valuation considering the player wants to leave.
The addition of Jadon Sancho will make Manchester United’s front three one of the most lethal and in all probability, one of the fastest trios in European football. Having qualified for the Champions League, Solskjaer will be looking to acquire his prime target in Jadon Sancho somehow as he looks to target silverware next season.
