Manchester United set to break the bank once again in the summer market
Manchester United have hit the ground running ever since the arrival of Bruno Fernandes in the winter transfer market this season for 80 million euros. The former Sporting Lisbon man has provided the much-needed creativity that the midfield at Old Trafford was severely lacking.
Bruno’s recruitment was the first setting stone for Manchester United’s revamp to contend for the 2020/21 Premier League title. The board at Old Trafford has narrowed down on signing Jadon Sancho of Borussia Dortmund and Jack Grealish of Aston Villa in the summer as potential recruitments to contend for the league title next season, according to the Express
Borussia Dortmund has already closed in on signing Jude Bellingham of Birmingham City after the German club announced the arrival of Thomas Meunier from Paris Saint-Germain who is set to replace Achraf Hakimi.
Giovanni Reyna has been tipped as the potential replacement if Sancho is to leave in the summer for Manchester United since the attacking midfielder has the ability to play on the right-wing as well. It seems like the German team has it all prepared for the 2020/21 season without Hakimi and Jadon Sancho.
Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish has been the rising star this season in the Premier League. The English footballer is the perfect mix of an attacking modern midfielder and a number 10. Due to his skill set, the English footballer can drift towards either of the flanks while being pressed from the midfield and can even start on either side of the frontline when needed.
The recruitment of Jack Grealish would provide Solskjaer a lot of versatility in the wing or the midfield depending where the former United player fields the Englishman. However, his addition would come at the cost of Nemanja Matic, Scott McTominay, and Fred competing for a starting spot.
Although the Premier Leauge midfielder is valued at 30 million euros in the market, Aston Villa has demanded a figure close to 80 million euros and Borussia Dortmund has demanded 100 million euros for their star winger.
180 million euros is what stands between United and the possibility of winning the Premier League ahead of Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester City next season. Do you think Manchester United should splash big on these two players.
