Manchester United have decided to cool off their interest from Jadon Sancho as they turn their attention towards signing a shocking replacement
It was a dream come true for the young Welsh international Gareth Bale when he completed a switch to Real Madrid for a record-breaking fee worth 101 million euros, seven years ago. After 13 trophies and 250 games later for Los Blancos, it seems like time has run out for the former Tottenham Hotspur forward at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Real have tried to get rid of their record signing for the latest two seasons, however, it seems like Gareth Bale might be offloaded this summer after the Spanish giants have decided to pay 50% of his wages to whichever club that signs him. Since then Manchester United has been one of the clubs that have shown serious interest as the Red Devils believe that the Jadon Sancho operation will not materialize this summer.
Jadon Sancho has been heavily linked with Manchester United all throughout the summer, but recent developments have caused a disagreement between both the clubs regarding the transfer fee for the young English International. The Reds Devils have struggled to put a deal together which has resulted in ending their interest for the Dortmund attacker.
As the reports suggest, Manchester United has turned their heads to a more economical alternative as they consider signing 31 year old, Gareth Bale. It is believed that Real Madrid will let Bale join Manchester United for as low as 18 million pounds this summer.
Ole Gunnar Solskjær believes that the Welshman can propel his side to the Premier League title this season and play to his utmost potential provided that he does not encounter injuries. Gareth Bale is the highest-paid player in the Real Madrid squad earning around 15 million euros, however, United would have to pay just 7.5 million euros which seems like an ideal deal for them.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Zinedine Zidane wants Gareth Bale out of the squad as soon as possible as Los Blancos prepare to sign Kylian Mbappe in the summer of 2021 as the French superstar has handed in a transfer request to Parsi Saint-Germain.
Gareth Bale when fit is easily one of the most lethal forwards in the world. Manchester United would have to take the gamble if they are to sign Bale since there is no surety that the injury-prone forward would adapt to the Premier League at the age of 31.
Should Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wait for another season to sign Jadon Sancho or should the club rush in and sign Gareth Bale instead?
