Manchester United continue to chase their prime target of the summer after offering a final bid worth 90 million pounds
Manchester United have been in search of a right-winger this season. The club had used Daniel James in the right flank last season. However, the Red Devils are in search of a more developed player on the right-wing and have zeroed in on securing the services of Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho.
United is said to have been long time admirers of the English international and have made the winger a top priority target for their upcoming season. On the other end, Dortmund has set a price tag of 108 million euros for their prized asset and has made it clear that they will not lower their set valuation.
The Englishman has had a staggering season for Lucian Favre’s side. The player had racked up 20 goals and 18 assists across all competitions last season which as made him one of the most lethal wingers in Europe.
Sancho has been impressive at the Signal-Iduna Park since his arrival back in 2017. He has shown tremendous growth as a player and his consistent performances in the black and yellow attire have earned him a superstar status at the club and in Europe.
Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be hoping that the addition of Sancho will give them the much-needed boost to secure their record 20th Premier League title and also compete for the Champions League trophy which the English side last won in 2008.
The deal has been in negotiation for months and the Red Devils have not been successful in persuading the German club to sell one of their best performers. Ed Woodward indicated that the pandemic has affected the club’s finances and they might not be able to pay Dortmund’s asking price for Jadon Sancho.
United have not given up their chase and is reported to have made a last-ditch effort to sign the 20-year-old superstar. The club has offered 90 million pounds for the player and is now waiting for Dortmund to reply to their last bid.
