Manchester United prepare a transfer record signing for the summer
Manchester United have been heavily linked with Jadon Sancho of Borussia Dortmund and Jack Grealish of Aston Villa as potential signing’s for the summer. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hopes to build a stronger squad for the upcoming season of 2020/21 after signing Bruno Fernandes, Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
The three signings as of yet have been massively influential at the club and the turning point in United’s form mid-season could be handed over to Bruno Fernandes due to his immediate impact at the club since arriving in the winter transfer market.
The Express reports that Dion Dublin has stated that Man United should focus on signing Harry Kane instead of Jadon Sancho and Jack Grealish this summer. The very reason why is because the Red Devils still have not yet signed a backup for Romelu Lukaku who signed for Inter Milan this season and has hit the ground running since then.
The report states that Ed Woodward has been urged to sign Harry Kane as the team requires a reliant striker ahead of Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood. Although both the strikers this season have been in fine form, the Red Devils consider signing the Tottenham Hotspur marksmen as they can rely on him to score 25 Premier League goals a season.
Harry Kane has struggled with injuries this season, however, the Englishman has managed to score 19 goals in all competitions. Kane is 26-years-old and still has a long way to go before age catches up with his performances and would be ideal recruitment for United.
The Englishman has averaged 22.8 goals a season in the Premier League over the last five seasons despite struggling with recurring injuries for almost two years now. Harry Kane’s addition could be considered as an insurance in terms of scoring goals for Manchester United which would take off the pressure from Anthony Martial who has really stepped up his goal-scoring capabilities this season after being deployed in the centre of the attack.
Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish’s future remains uncertain as The Lions currently face the threat of being relegated this season. Grealish has been linked with City and United this season after scoring seven goals and providing six assists so far in the Premier League for the relegation-threatened side.
It all boils down to whether the board of the Red Devils prefers signing Jadon Sancho and Jack Grealish this summer or splashing 200 million pounds to sign Harry Kane.
