Manchester United and Barcelona have reportedly been turned down by an Italian sensation who has opted to sign for AC Milan instead

Manchester United have finally made a signing this summer transfer market. The Red Devils officially announced the signing of Ajax Amsterdam’s versatile midfielder Donny van de Beek who has been a long term target of both Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Ole Gunnar Solskajear is still in the market for a left-back, centre-back and a forward as well. Real Madrid’s sensational youngster, Sergi Reguillon, has been linked with a move to the Old Trafford, however, Los Blancos are only listening to loan offers at the moment.

The signing of Van de beek by United could possibly lead to the exit of the Brazilian midfielder, Fred. Nemjan Matic will be the secondary choice midifelder which means that Fred would have severe competition to find a spot in the starting eleven. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s has also been on the hunt from central-defensive midifelder with exceptional ball playing abilities that could possibly replace Matic.

It is rumoured that Sandro Tolani of the Serie A was on the agenda of Manchester United and Barcelona. The Catalans regarded the 20-year-old Italian to be the ideal replacement signing for Sergio Busquets. However, GOAL reports that the player who has been dubbed as the “next Andrea Pirlo” has opted to sign for AC Milan instead.

Manchester United and Barcelona had both bid for the player, however, it is reported that both the bids were turned down by the player and his agent. Tonali is expected to complete a move to the San Siro in the next coming few days. The young sensation will be signing for AC Milan on a loan for 10 million euros that will have an option to buy at the end of the season for 15 million euros.

The player was also tipped with a move to Inter Milan as Antonio Conte is a massive fan of the youngster. However, the long negotiations saw Tolani grow tired and opte for a move to arch rivals AC Milan, who were much faster with the paperwork.

Will Tonali be a success at AC Milan or will he one of those players that never reached their potential?
