Manchester City and Leroy Sane are likely to go separate ways as Bayern Munich get ready to welcome the German international this summer.

Quite a number of Premier League giants are said to have an interest including Manchester City have been interested in Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho who seems to have entered into a different zone altogether after leaving the Etihad Stadium in 2017.

As per the Mirror, Pep Guardiola has confirmed the fact that Manchester City will not be pursuing Sancho,

He decided to leave, why should he decide to come back?

Manchester United can now see clear daylight ahead of them in a bid to land the England international. It has to be mentioned that the Red Devils have had Sancho on their mind as their top target for quite some time.

Not to forget, there have been links of Anthony Martial heading to Inter Milan as well and his probable departure could see Ole Gunnar Solskjaer‘s side show more urgency in the pursuit to sign the Dortmund ace.

Guardiola did not step back from expressing the fact that the 20 year-old might leave the club again should be return. He acclaimed that it was the decision of the Englishman to leave the Citizens for the Signal Iduna Park and the City boss passively signaled that he doesn’t trust Sancho anymore.

Chelsea and Liverpool have also been linked with a possible transfer when it comes to Sancho but Liverpool’s interest in the winger seems to be a thing of the past. The newly crowned Premier League champions might not have any major changes to make to their squad this time around.

The Citizens on the other hand need to bring in a midfielder and a centre-back. The position of the winger is also vacant and we could see them going for someone sometime soon and Burnley’s Dwight McNeil has been linked promptly with the Sky Blues.

For those not on the curve, Leroy Sane has been closely linked with a move away from the 5-time Premier League champions to Bayern Munich.

Pep’s side does need a revamp if they are to challenge the authority that Liverpool established this season. While it seems unclear on who their targets are, they can be expected to go from premium players.

However, as things stand at the moment, City has dropped out of the race for Jadon Sancho and a possible return of the 20 year-old to the Etihad Stadium seems to have hit the ground. Moreover, with the asking price for him set at 110 million pounds, he might have to settle for another season in Germany till the financial status of clubs improves.
