Jurgen Klopp is shocked as his Liverpool superstar has reportedly offered himself to a La Liga powerhouse club.

After a long 30 years of wait Liverpool have finally won the Premier League, and rightfully so. Amassing a gap of 18 points between number 2 finishers Manchester City, the Reds have been dominant throughout the season and were even showing promise to beat the record of the Arsenal Invincibles. With last seasons Champions League success added in the mixer, Jurgen Klopp’s side has had a very successful few seasons and the credit goes to the fantastic players they feature.

With such performances, Klopp would like to retain his squad for the upcoming seasons so that he can build on it further, and look to possibly dominating the scene in Europe. But that might be a big task for the German, having phenomenal players in the squad like Mohammed Salah and Sadio Mane there are many clubs in Europe that are interested in procuring such talent and have the pockets to fund such transfers as well.

On the other side of things in Spain, LaLiga giants Barcelona are facing what can be described as one of the worst periods for the club. With an aging squad, terrible performances in the UCL, and an incompetent president – it is safe to say the Blaugrana has seen better days. The situation has become so dire, that star player Lionel Messi has opted to leave the club. One of the biggest traits that the Argentine possessed was his loyalty to the club, but with things spiraling out of control, it is justified if he desires to be playing with a club that has a better chance at winning trophies and titles.

One club that the iconic number 10 is rumored to join, is Manchester City. With a great relationship with Pep Guardiola, the arrival of Messi to the Etihad would be highly beneficial for both the parties involved. Barcelona, however, would be left with the task of replacing perhaps the best player the world has ever seen which by no means is an easy task. But, Liverpool forward Sadio Mane might be the man for the job.

The Senegalese superstar can bring a lot to the table for the Cules. Along with tremendous pace and strength, he is also versatile and can play on either wing, all these traits would be a great addition for the Barca attack. Not only that, but the 28-year-old also has a very high defensive work-rate which would add a lot more to the team than just offensive firepower.

The former Southampton man has also proved himself to be a prolific goalscorer, winning the Golden Boot in the Premier League which further cements his place as the ideal replacement for the Barcelona legend.

Although Liverpool would not be letting go of Mane so easily, a hefty cheque from the Catalans might change that. With the funds gained from the move, the Reds can then look for options as replacements with players like Adama Traore and Ismaila Sarr on the market and performing well recently.

While such a move depends on many factors coming into play, it is not entirely improbable, and if reports are to be believed it can be a great move for all parties concerned.
