Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson will start in their respective full-back positions providing the usual endeavor and thrust down the flanks. Captain Jordan Henderson will partner along with Fabinho to form the centre-back partnership as they look to keep in form City attack at bay.

Thiago Alcantara is still looking for his first home league win this season and will anchor the midfield. Georginio Wijnaldum who had a disappointing outing last time out hopes to turn it around this evening. James Milner is expected to complete the midfield trio which will look to thwart the Sky Blues of crucial possession in the engine room.

Roberto Firmino has an excellent record against Manchester City and will play in tandem with his usual partners in crime, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah. The front three will look to make most of the counter-attacking chances in the match. Liverpool’s front three who has so often been the thorn in City’s armor will hope to repeat the trick once again.
