Juventus have kept their sights on Barcelona youngster as they plan to replace him with Ronaldo in the near future.
Since Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival, Juventus have seen a massive improvement in their attack and have altogether looked like a different side. The former Real Madrid man has already broken a few goalscoring records with the Old Lady as he recently became the highest goalscorer in the history of football.
His present-day exploits have also seen him become the club’s top scorer in the league campaign and is now sitting second on the goalscoring charts with 18 goals in Serie A. The Portuguese ace is now aiming to win the UEFA Champions League title with Juve to bring an end to their decade long drought.
With his contract set to expire next summer, the Serie A giants would be keen to bring a replacement for their prized forward. Todo Fichajes has reported that Juventus have zeroed in on Ansu Fati from Barcelona as they believe the youngster will be the perfect cover for their no.7.
The 18-year-old has been a big revelation for the Blaugrana as his debut with the senior side has seen him break records at a tender age. Back in August 2019, the Spanish teenager became the youngest goalscorer in La Liga after scoring against Osasuna.
Fati’s phenomenal progress did come to a halt this season as he suffered a major knee injury against Real Betis on matchday nine. The 18-year-old was ruled out for four months but is set to make his return to first-team action in early March which will likely see him participate in the away tie against PSG in the second leg of the Round of 16.
Juventus are willing to invest in a young prospect like Ansu Fati as the forward has all the traits to become the next top player of Europe. Most importantly, the Bianconeri are preparing for life after Ronaldo and hence are interested to bring in an adequate replacement for their prized asset. The Spanish teenager has the flexibility to play in all attacking positions and thus is likely to come in handy in any top side in Europe.
Recent reports have claimed that the Old Lady might make a move for the winger this summer and are ready to table an offer of 80 million euros for the services of the player.
Barcelona are unlikely to let their wonderkid leave after the end of this season but, however, recent financial constraints have left the club in a worrying state. The La Liga giants might be compelled to sell their future star if they fail to contain their financial crisis by June. The Bianconeri will hope to capitalise on this crisis and will look to scoop in one of the brightest prospects of European football
