Juventus are closer to announcing their latest transfer after reaching an agreement with their big target.
Juventus are nearing the signing of a new striker after reaching personal terms with their target, Arkadiusz Milik of Napoli.
The latest rumors surrounding Juve were always regarding the signing of a new no. 9 that would play alongside Paulo Dybala and Cristiano Ronaldo after replacing Gonzalo Higuain at Allianz Stadium.
One of the players to always be linked with this purpose was Napoli striker, Arkadiusz Milik, who has previously played under the current Juve coach, Maurizio Sarri. Another bonus about the 26-year-old was that being in Italy since 2016 will be extremely helpful for him to get adjusted to his new side as both the clubs are part of the same league.
Reports suggest that the Polish striker has reached an agreement with the Italian champions with the only thing missing being a deal with his employers. Napoli will have to be convinced in order to finalize the move and have expressed a desire to secure Old Lady’s Federico Bernardeschi in return.
They await negotiations with the player’s agent while also looking into the possibility of securing Cristian Romero or Luca Pellegrini instead. Meanwhile, Sarri is adamant about signing Milik as he has identified him as the ideal player to fit his style.
The idea that the player has agreed to move to Allianz will force Napoli’s hand into starting a negotiation with the rivals and look to secure the best possible deal. While they are open to listening to an exchange offer especially considering Juve’s economic struggles after the outbreak of the coronavirus, it remains to be seen what all major transfers Sarri has planned for the next transfer window.
If indeed Juve looks to restructure multiple positions then the only possible way to secure Milik would be a swap at which point Napoli can dictate the course of action as they would be the ones demanding their desired player in return.
