Juventus have been handed a big boost in their bid to sign a star striker from the Serie A this winter transfer market.

Juventus were eager on signing Napoli’s lethal marksman Arkadiusz Milik earlier in the summer last year. However, the Bianconeri had to withdraw their interest from the Polish striker due to Napoli’s exorbitant price tag for their striker. The 2019/20 Serie A champions then turned their attention towards Alvaro Morata and managed to secure the return of their former player on a loan deal.

With half the season underway under Andrea Pirlo, Juventus now find themselves placed fifth on the Serie A table and are 10 points away from AC Milan who currently sits on top of the table. The Turin based side have only played 15 fixtures so far and have two games in hand, if Juventus manage to pick up six points in their next two wins then they could reduce the deficit between AC Milan by four points.

The Bianconeri’s board is eager on creating history by becoming the first club to win the Scudetto consecutively for 10-years. However, Andrea Pirlo believes that his side requires more firepower for the rest of the season to displace AC Milan from the top. The Bianconeri have once again turned their attention towards Milik.

Reports from TutoSport claim that Milik’s agent is open to the idea of receiving another offer from Juventus and can certainly not rule out a potential move to the Allianz Stadium.

“Roma and Juve were also close to signing him, but for different reasons, and in some cases still difficult to understand, the negotiation did not end. But this often happens in football. If they come back to him. ? I don’t rule it out, but I can’t be the one to say it”

The 26-year-old striker is yet to play a single minute of football this season and has been excluded from all the matchday squads of Napoli due to internal issues. Milik and his agent are eager on leaving Naples and are currently looking for a club this January transfer window. There are offers from the Premier League as well for the Polish striker, however, a move to Juventus could also be on the cards.
