Juventus consider two-goal scorers to assist Cristiano Ronaldo next season
As Juventus are set to win the Serie A once again this season, the Bianconeri have already started preparations for the 2020/21 season and their objective for the summer transfer market would be to sign a goalscorer to overcome their issues up front.
Juve has been heavily reliant on Paulo Dybala and Cristiano Ronaldo this season as both the forward’s have rescued the club on numerous occasions. Douglas Costa, Gonzalo Higuain, and Federico Bernardeschi have been having a season way below their standards so far in the league.
Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 30 goals in 30 matches so far in the Serie A despite being 35-years-old. Meanwhile, Dybala has managed to silence his critics from last season after regaining his form by scoring 11 goals and providing seven assists so far in the league.
However, Juventus cannot always rely on Dybala and Ronaldo, which is why the Italian side has shortlisted Raul Jimenez of Wolverhampton and Arkadiusz Milik of Napoli. Douglas Costa has been linked with a move to Manchester City this season as a replacement for Leroy Sane for 50 million euros.
Costa’s departure could be used to sign Milik of Napoli who has been valued at just 40 million euros. The Naples based team have already even found their replacement for Milik if he is to sign for the Bianconeri over the summer as Napoli is in talks with Real Madrid’s Luka Jovic.
Meanwhile, Raul Jimenez of the Premier League has become a wanted a figure at many clubs. The 29-year-old striker has scored 17 goals so far in the Premier League and is currently on the radar of Manchester City as Pep Guardiola believes that the Mexican would be an ideal recruitment to replace Sergio Aguero if the Lautaro Martinez operation fails.
However, Jimenez has been valued at over 100 million euros by Wolverhampton and Juventus are currently not in the state to break the bank in the transfer market after the club signed Matthijs de Ligt from Ajax Amsterdam next season.
Since Higuain’s contract is set to expire in the summer of 2021, Juve’s ideal option would be to cash in on the former Chelsea man this summer and land Milik from Napoli for just 40 million euros.
