Juventus have reportedly entered the race to sign one of the prime targets of Arsenal and might offer a better deal to the Lyon star

Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal. The Gunners haven’t been able to negotiate a deal for the Frenchman and have had a bid rejected by Lyon. Recent developments suggest that Juventus have entered the race to sign the French midfielder and are ready to topple Mikel Arteta’s side to secure his services.

The Bianconeri have already signed Arthur Melo and Weston Mckennie to make up for the departures of Blaise Matuidi, Mirajem Pjanic and Emre Can. 22-year-old Aouar has been a valuable asset for his club since his arrival in 2017. The player has been a consistent performer for Les Gones as last season the player managed 25 appearances and scored 3 goals in the Ligue 1. Aouar also had an excellent run of form in the Champions League as the midfielder put up dazzling performances for the French outfit but their chase for European glory was cut short by the mighty Bavarians.

Juventus have had problems with their aging squad and at present, the club has let go of some of their reputed players in a bid to create a team of quality youngsters. The Old Lady has let go of Higuain and signed Morata from Atletico on loan. The club has made changes to almost every position in the squad. The addition of the French midfielder will definitely bolster their present midfield setup. Juventus boss Pirlo will have the luxury to play Arthur Melo and Aouar in the same lineup.

Arsenal will be aware of the competition it might face from the Italian Champions to land the Lyon star.¬†There hasn’t been any official confirmation from both clubs on a potential transfer. Although the possibility of a deadline day transfer should not be ruled out right now.
