Zinedine Zidane‘s faces harsh criticism from the president of Real Madrid

Zinedine Zidane has performed a phenomenal task this season in reshaping the same Real Madrid that was a disaster in the 2018/19 season under Julen Lopetegui and Santiago Solari. The Los Blancos had made six major signings in the summer of 2019, however, apart from Ferland Mendy none of the other signings have made a major impact as of yet.

Eden Hazard still seems rusty after recovering from his injury meanwhile Luka Jovic has barely got the opportunity to kick the ball around since Karim Benzema has been on lethal goalscoring form. Real currently top the La Liga Santander table with a four-point advantage over Barcelona and just have five games remaining in the league.

Given the internal issues at Barca along with their recent poor performances, it seems like the league title is all for Madrid to win their 34th Spanish top-flight league title which would be Zidane’s second La Liga title as a manager.

However, the French manager has made plans for the coming summer to form an unstoppable team for the 2020/21 season. Players such as James Rodriguez and Gareth Bale would most likely be making their way out from the Bernabeu and according to the Express, Zidane has added Liverpool’s Sadio Mane to his agenda.

The Los Vikingos boss dreams of an attacking lineup including the likes of Eden Hazard, Karim Benzema, and Sadio Mane for the next season at the Santiago Bernabeu, however, Florentino Perez has slammed the manager and has reportedly informed him that no expensive signings would be made this summer.

Perez has demanded Zinedine Zidane to instead focus on developing Vinicius Junior who has been electrifying this season and helped Real clinch three crucial points against Barcelona in the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu after slotting home a shot from Toni Kroos‘s through ball down the channel.

Since Perez has voiced his opinion loud and clear regarding spending huge sums in the summer, it seems like Sadio Mane will continue to play for Jurgen Klopp next season as well. The former Borussia Dortmund manager guided the Reds to their first-ever Premier League trophy after 30 years and became the first German manager to win the Premier League.

Klopp hopes to keep his squad intact for the next season despite all the attention Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane have received this summer. A departure of any of the three from the front line might prove to be suicidal for the Premier League side and Klopp is willing to protect his squad at all costs.

Since James Rodriguez and Gareth Bale are most likely to leave this summer, do you have any cheap alternatives in your mind that Real could sign as replacements for the departing duo?
