Cristiano Ronaldo hopes to depart Juventus over the summer as the Portuguese has grown tired with the situation in Turin.

The UEFA Champions League is the perfect stage for amazing comebacks, stunning performances, and hard-fought victories, but with it also come upsets and losses. On the 7th of August, the French side Lyon beat Juventus on away goals after losing 2-1 to the Italian side away and winning 1-0 at home. in the round of 16 of the competition.

One of the biggest talking points of the game was Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo’s performance who managed to score both of the goals by the Old Lady with hardly any help from his teammates. This is the case for most of the season, the iconic number 7 carrying the Bianconeri on his back, saving them from tough situations and sparking comebacks amongst other things. The Italian champions now seem just like a one-man team.

Ronaldo had arrived at Turin from Madrid for a total of 100 million euros, and the main motive behind the transfer was to help Juventus win a Champions League title after a long wait. But things have not gone well for the Zebre as the Portuguese international has been the one to score all the goals for Juventus after the group stage of the esteemed tournament since his arrival. Reports are stating that he is frustrated with the team performances and is looking for a move away from the Allianz Stadium.

After winning everything in England, Spain, nearly winning everything in Italy, Ronaldo is looking to join Ligue-1 side Paris Saint Germain as they have also been struggling to win a UCL title. The Parisiens however, are strong contenders for the title as they currently have one of the strongest sides in their history and the competition this season as well.

With the addition of Cristiano Ronaldo upfront alongside Mauro Icardi, and Kylian Mbappe and Neymar Jr at the wings, it is unimaginable the attacking firepower this team will have. Pace, flair, finishing, ball control, dribbling, set pieces the team would no longer have an attacking weak point, and wreck havoc for defenses all around Europe. Les Rouge et Bleu are yet to go a season unbeaten in the league, but with Cristiano Ronaldo, the whole world knows anything is possible.

Jorge Mendes, the agent of the former Real Madrid player is in the good shoes of PSG director Leonardo, having carried out the Keylor Navas transfer, and is also trying to work out the logistics of a move away from Turin. First contacts between the two parties have already taken place, and another is set to happen in Lisbon for the final 8 of the Champions League. For a move, this big, negotiations are likely to be stretched out between days and it is not confirmed if Ronaldo would be playing at Le Parc des Princes next season just yet.
