Cristiano Ronaldo has demanded Juventus to sign a lethal striker
Cristiano Ronaldo alongside Paulo Dybala has been the standout performer this season for Juventus in the Serie A. The Portuguese and the Argentine forward have scored a combined figure 37 league goals along with 10 assists.
However, Gonzalo Higuain has not been at his very best for quite some time and Ronaldo has raised the concern to the Bianconeri board to sign a young replacement striker since the club failed to sign a replacement for Moise Kean who signed for Everton.
The name that the former Manchester United winger has put forward is the infamous striker of Real Madrid and debutant signing, Luka Jovic, according to Don Balon. The Serbian striker signed for the Los Blancos in the summer of 2019 as one of the most exciting prospects, however, the former Sl Benfica man has struggled at the Santiago Bernabeu this season in terms of securing minutes. Jovic has played just 400 minutes this season in the La Liga Santander and has two goals along with an assist.
The signing of the Serbian striker was a much-awaited one after the Los Blancos had a horror season in the 2018/19 campaign and finished the league with the least goals scored ever in the recent few years. Real finished the 2018/19 Spanish league season with just 63 goals scored and were defeated 12 times in the league. The departure of Cristiano Ronaldo was the very reason why the Whites struggled to find the net and were eager to find a prolific striker who could compensate for the Portuguese’s departure.
Luka Jovic had a stellar season with Eintracht Frankfurt after pairing up with current AC Milan ace, Rebic. Jovic scored 17 goals and provided 6 assists for Frankfurt in the Bundesliga and single-handedly took his side to the semi-final of the Europa League with 10 goals to his name in the European competition.
The signing of Luka Jovic at Real Madrid just has not worked at all this season apart due to several reasons apart from the lack of game time. The striker has struggled to impress Zidane due to reasons that are not known yet to the public, however, Jovic has not been very cooperative either.
The Serbian was on the verge of being arrested after he left Spain to go to his hometown during the lockdown and then injured himself while self-isolating which still remains a mystery as to how that was possible.
The 22-year-old finally made his way back from injury and was expected to play the next four matches of the La Liga Santander, however, reports state that the player has been dropped from the squad for the next four games after his friend has been tested positive for COVID 19 and Jovic has been advised to self-isolate.
Real Madrid has grown tired with his personal issues and is prepared to let the striker leave this summer. An attacking lineup of Luka Jovic, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Paulo Dybala would certainly be a force to reckon with in the 2020/21 Serie A for Juventus.
