The Daily Mail reports that a Chelsea striker is reportedly considering his future elsewhere due to the possible arrival of Erling Haaland.

Frank Lampard’s departure from Chelsea has brought in an air of change in the dressing room. Under Thomas Tuchel, the club has seen an improvement in their recent performances and have slowly advanced towards the upper half of the league table.

After an average display against Southampton, the Blues had made a strong comeback in the UEFA Champions League as they overcame a dominant Atletico Madrid side in their first leg of their Round of 16 fixture. With the second leg set to be played on home turf, the west London side would hope to avoid defeat and look to seal their berth for the quarterfinals of the competition.

The likes of Ben Chilwell, N’Golo Kante, and Kai Havertz have faced the axe from the first-team since Tuchel’s take over. On the front end, Tammy Abraham, too, has seen himself receive limited starts under the German boss.

As per Daily Mail, the Chelsea striker is reportedly looking for a potential exit this summer as he is not keen to play for the club next season. The Englishman is said to have rejected the possibility of signing a new contract with the team.

The report also indicates that the 23-year-old has taken the decision to part ways with the club as of late since Erling Haaland has been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge. These recent speculations seemed to have unsettled Abraham at the club and is said to have played a major role in the player’s decision to end his association with his current employers.

The England international was efficient in front of the goal last season as he scored 15 goals in 34 appearances in the Premier League. In the ongoing season, the forward has seen a slight dip in form as his goalscoring stats in the league campaign have been limited to only six.

With the introduction of Tuchel, the striker has lost his place to a senior campaigner in the form of Oliver Giroud who in return has responded with some solid performances for the Blues. Currently, the 23-year-old has a contract with the club which will see him stay till the summer of 2023.

Chelsea have prioritised the signing of Erling Haaland and therefore are ready to make a big-money offer to the player this summer. The west London side is ready to splash out at least 100 million euros for the services of the Borussia Dortmund striker. The team might not sweat over the departure of their current no.9 if they secure the signature of the Norwegian forward at the end of the season.
