Chelsea receive two offers from the Premier League to sign their midfielder who has reportedly fallen out with Frank Lampard
With Frank Lampard’s recent appointment at the head coach position at Chelsea, the Englishman has made some phenomenal signings this transfer window for the club. With superstars like Timo Werner, Kai Havertz, Thiago Silva, and Hakim Ziyech joining the club, the Blues have done fantastic business and stand to be the favorites to win some trophies for the 2020-2021 season.
Chelsea did not have to spend much on the transfers either as they are estimated to have earned 160 million euros from the sale of Eden Hazard to Real Madrid alone last season. And all these signings this transfer window were made for a price that is around the ballpark of 220 million euros. However, Lampard’s side does still has the job of letting go of some players as they had done with Willian to free up the wage bill and reduce the saturation of players for certain positions.
Names like Jorginho, Antonio Rudiger, and Michi Batshuayi, and many other players have been rumored with moves away from the Stamford Bridge. According to recent reports, another name has been added to the list as midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek might be on the move too, with Premier League rivals being interested in a possible move for the 24-year-old. The teams interested in acquiring the Chelsea number 12 are Aston Villa and West Ham, and it is safe to say that Ruben would be getting greater playtime at these clubs than with the Blues where he would have to fight for his position against talents like Kante, Havertz, and Ziyech among others.
The English international himself is eager to leave because of his frustration towards Lampard, which arises as he was not even played against the match against Barnsley which is a second division team. The front runners to sign the midfielder is Aston Villa, as the Claret and Blue in dire need of a player with the ‘number 8’ role. If a good enough deal is to be proposed by Dean Smith’s side, Chelsea might be willing to let go of their player.
