Chelsea seem to be closely observing the situation of a Juventus superstar, with hopes of signing him in the near future.

Chelsea have been inconsistent with their game since the start of the summer transfer window despite spending lavishly on as many as seven signings during the last few months. The Blues were quick to recruit players such as Timo Werner, Kai Havertz, Thiago Silva, and, Ben Chilwell, and a few more. A busy transfer window saw the west Londoners spends over 200 million pounds but on the contrary, they managed to offload players such as Alvaro Morata, Willian, and Pedro.

However, the performances present a different story. Having managed just two wins out of a possible five, Frank Lampard needs to mend his side in order to achieve the expected results and challenge for the Premier League title this season.

It seems like the Blues aren’t done yet as new reports suggest their interests in the Juventus star attacker, Paulo Dybala. The Chelsea chiefs are keeping close tabs on the Argentine, who now has a contract with Juventus only until June 2022.

According to reports, the former Palermo attacker is willing to sign an extension with the club from Turin but a lucrative salary and more game time could sway the decision in the Premier League side’s favour. Besides the monetary aspect of it, Dybala may also be on the lookout for a newer challenge, considering that he has won it all in Italy.

The 26-year-old has been magnificent for Juventus as he managed to score 95 goals and assist 38 times in 228 appearances. However, a significant drop in match time following Cristiano Ronaldo‘s arrival and bad luck with injuries seemed to have hindered his growth over the past couple of years.

Despite their interest in Dybala, this looks like a transfer which may be difficult for Chelsea to pursue. They have just signed Hakim Ziyech, who plays on the right flank and it makes absolutely no sense to sign a right-winger when they already have a brand new one. But at the same time, they are known to be fluid spenders and it may not come as a surprise if Roman Abramovich once again does the unthinkable for the Blues.
