Bayern Munich superstar is set to join forces with Antonio Conte next season at the San Siro.
With the appointment of Italian coach Antonio Conte for the 2019-2020 season, Inter Milan have managed to finish 2nd in the Serie-A. After a relatively successful first season in the league, and still being strong contenders in the Europa League, the Italian is hoping to make Inter one of Europe’s greats again by rebuilding the squad and buying some quality players.
Although possessing great quality already, few additions like Moroccan wingback Achraf Hakimi and Danish star Christian Eriksen will help the team greatly. However, Conte does not wish to stop there with plenty of affordable players on his wish list, the Nerazzurri can be a real threat to face in the coming season.
One of the main focuses of the rebuild would be the attack and the midfield for the Italian side. One of the club’s loanees, Croatian winger Ivan Perisic happens to be a good option for support high up in the pitch. The 31-year-old had displayed very impressive individual performances in the 2018 World Cup and is out on loan to Bayern Munich where he is showcasing the same quality as two years ago.
La Beneamata had given the winger for a season-long loan with an option to buy last season, and now due to his displays of excellence for the German side, Inter is willing to keep the Croatian if Bayern decides not to buy him.
It is looking very likely that the Bundesliga champions would not be withholding the Croatian winger as they have recently purchased Leroy Sane from Manchester City, and with Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Coman already putting up amazing performances, it is hard to say if there is an opening for Perisic in the starting eleven.
If the former Wolfsburg player does return, Antonio Conte would be waiting for him with open arms in the San Siro, as the skill and experience the 31-year-old brings to the team would be of great use for the Serie-A title contenders next season.
