Bayern Munich and Liverpool show interest to sign Conte’s midfield maestro

Skipper Jordan Henderson created history for Liverpool as the England international went down into the books of the club as the first captain to lift the Premier League trophy after the tournament was rebranded. Jurgen Klopp hopes to continue the same sheer dominance that was displayed this season at the Anfield next season as well and the former Dortmund man believes that a few signings would be required.

Adam Lallana will no longer be a Red next season as the midfielder will not be renewing his stay at the Merseyside. Fabinho and Nabil Keita have been injury-prone since their arrival at the club and thus Klopp has considered looking for a creative midfielder and a central defensive midfielder this summer.

Reports from Italy claim that the Premier League Champions have turned their attention towards Marcelo Brozovic, however, it would be quite a task to sign the Croatian from the San Siro this summer.

With the oncoming of Italian Coach Antonio Conte, Serie A side Inter Milan are looking at a possible renovation of the club. With the promise of making La Beneamata one of the European superpowers again, Conte has bought in several players to cement this plan with the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Achraf Hakimi amongst others.

But to garner the funds to make further transfers Inter have to let a few players go, and if reports are to be believed one of those players happens to be Croatian Midfielder Marcelo Brozovic out of the lot that Conte has listed.

There is no shortage of teams who are interested in the Croatian International, with Liverpool being in the race for a long time. The English side is in the market for a midfielder to control their team from the middle and make key passes up the pitch to exploit the pace of Sadio Mane and Mo Salah.

Currently, the midfield is the only place they are yet to improve upon, as they have been excellent defensively and attacking-wise this season, with the addition of quality midfielders it would hopefully bring more creativity and dominance in the middle of the park for the Reds.

But recently, those interests might have shifted to Spaniard Thiago Alcantara who is a midfielder for Bayern Munich, and should he leave the Bavarians they would have to look for a replacement and reportedly they have already made an inquiry about Brozovic.

If the move of Thiago to Liverpool is carried out, Inter would be looking to sell Brozovic to the German side for around 60 million pounds.
