Barcelona are willing to give stiff competition to rivals Real Madrid for one of their prime targets next summer

Florentino Perez has always been keen to recruit “Galacticos” to the Real Madrid set up as the club has spent heavily on players like Gareth Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo, James Rodriguez, and Eden Hazard. For the last couple of years, Los Blancos have kept tabs on Kylian Mbappe and are tempted to bring the Frenchman to the Santiago Bernabeu.

The 2018 World Cup winner had reportedly received interest from the La Liga champions in the past but had opted to ply his trade in France. As of now, the PSG forward has a contract at the Parc des Princes till June 2022. The former Monaco man had moved to the French capital on a loan deal in 2017 but was signed permanently by the Parisiens in the summer of 2018.

Real Madrid might face some competition from arch-rivals Barcelona if Font takes over from current president Joseph Bartomeu. There are certain factors which make the Los Blancos as favourites to sign the former Monaco man as Zinedine Zidane has been in contact with his fellow countryman and has often expressed his desire to work with the 21-year-old.

The Spanish Champions will definitely feel optimistic about its chances of bringing the French forward to the Spanish capital next summer. Los Blancos do know that they will have to overcome some difficulties if they are to bring in another “Galactico” signing to their present squad.
