Barcelona are reportedly planning to sign key players of Manchester United and Bayern Munich in the summer of 2021
Barcelona has not been the best side in the transfer window in terms of recruitment as the club has been overshadowed by other teams like Chelsea, Everton, Arsenal. The Catalan club has had to face a lot of heat from its fans in the last couple of months as the Spanish side has not been able to form a worthy side.
In the recent transfer window, the club has prioritized bringing more youth to the team as the likes of Fransico Trincao, Sergino Dest, Pedri have been snapped up by the Blaugrana outfit. Ronald Koeman has been keen on revitalizing the aging squad and therefore the youngsters of the team have got full backing from the Dutch coach.
The Catalan club has also looked to trim their squad as a lot of first-team players have been shown the exit door. The likes of Luis Suarez, Nelson Semedo, Arturo Vidal have been sold in the transfer window as part of the team’s clearout procedure in the summer.
According to various sources, it has been reported that the Blaugrana are planning to sign two key players from Manchester United and Bayern Munich. Paul Pogba and David Alaba have been touted as the possible targets for Ronald Koeman’s side as Barcelona look to bolster their squad next season.
The Red Devils superstar has a contract at Old Trafford which is due to expire in June 2021 and at present, the Frenchman has not yet penned a new deal with the club. The 2018 World Cup winner had been subject to interest from Barcelona in 2015 but the Spanish Giants failed to initiate a deal for the former Juventus midfielder.
On the other side, David Alaba has not yet signed an extension with Bayern as the player’s contract is set to expire next summer. There has been a lot of speculations regarding the Austrian leaving the club next season as teams like Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus have shown interest to secure the services of the 28-year-old.
Barcelona will have to put on their A-game next summer if the club is to succeed in buying two highly-rated players of European football. Ronald Koeman’s side will be looking to add more firepower next season as the present squad will need some tweaks to compete against top clubs in Europe.
