Arsenal are shocked as their superstar is tipped for a move to the Etihad Stadium
Arsenal was on course to grab all three points against Leicester City after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang opened the score for Mikel Arteta, however, the Foxes pulled themself together to get back in the game during the second half and it was Jaime Vardy that found the late equaliser to silence the parties in north London.
However, Aubameyang’s future remains highly uncertain at the Emirates Stadium since the African forward will enter the final year of his contract next season and would be available as a free agent in the summer of 2021. The Gunners cannot afford to let their marksman leave for free when his contract runs out and Aubameyang has been nothing short of phenomenal for the English side since his switch from Borussia Dortmund.
Rumours claim that Mikel Arteta has considered signing Wolverhampton’s fan favourite and lethal striker, Raul Jimenez, who is valued around 80-100 million euros and would be the immediate backup signing if the former Bundesliga man leaves.
The Express reports that Pep Guardiola has considered signing Pierre-Emerick Aubmeyang as the Sky Blues are on the look for a striker this summer. Gabriel Jesus has been linked with a move to Juventus and Inter Milan this summer and Guardiola has given the green-light for Jesus to make a move for the right price.
If Jesus is to leave this summer, Pep’s replacement is Aubameyang according to the report. Sergio Aguero still continues his fine form, however, his recent string of injuries has shown that the Argentine may not have the best continuity in his mid-thirties.
Aguero’s body built could be one of the reasons as the Argentine forward is short and muscular which could be the reason for his lack of flexibility in his muscles which have been a primary concern for his injuries. Meanwhile, Aubameyang is 31-years-old and his slender body built could be the key reason behind the African forward not slowing down in terms of his physical capabilities as well as performances.
Arsenal in the meantime has also considered offloading Guendouzi and Hector Bellerin this summer to Paris Saint-Germain. Bellerin has also gathered attention from Bayern Munich who is looking for a second choice right-back as Alvaro Odriozola is on his way back to the Bernabeu and considers Bellerin to be the ideal candidate because of his speed and physical prowess.
The summer market is definitely going to be an exciting one for Arsenal and Mikel Arteta as the clubs have large ambitions with a limited transfer budget.
