Arsenal receive a major set-back as their superstar has reportedly turned down the idea of committing his future at the Emirates Stadium
Arsenal although seem like a revolutionised side under Mikel Arteta who learned the art of coaching and man-management under Pep Guardiola at Manchester City while acting as his assistant manager and right-hand man.
Arteta might be the ideal man to bring the Gunners back to where they belong as a club that competes in the Champions League and as serious contenders for the Premier League as well, however, the Spaniard’s tactics and philosophy while only go to waste if the board does not back his plans for the club by providing him the required budget to sign players and retain a few.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is one of the players that Mikel Arteta wishes to retain at the Emirates Stadium for the 2020/21 season and the coach also spoke highly about the importance of the Gabon international after the FA Cup victory against Frank Lampard’s Chelsea.
Another superstar that the coach plans to keep is Dani Ceballos of Real Madrid. The Spanish midfielder has been on a different level since the resumption of the league and has been an instrumental figure under Arteta lately.
Ceballos is certainly a talented player with tremendous potential which is also the reason why Real Madrid signed the midfielder from Real Betis in the 2017-18 season. However, Zidane has no plans for the former Betico man and it seems highly unlikely that he would return to the Bernabeu this season and wear the white jersey for the 2020/21 season.
Real plan on cashing in on the midfielder to raise funds, however, GOAL reports that Dani Ceballos has something else on his mind as well.
“I’m not thinking about whether or not I can play for Real Madrid, Arsenal or another club.“I have a lot of love for Betis, for everyone that works at the club,” – Dani Ceballos on his future, according to GOAL
The midfielder had come up the ranks of the youth academy of Real Betis and it is at Seville based club where Dani Ceballos made a name for himself before Madrid landed the player. Although the 23-year-old will certainly not return to Madrid, the midfielder has not ruled out a move to the Benito Villamarin Stadium.
The FA Cup victory against Chelsea might just be the first and the last trophy for both Aubameyang and Ceballos as Arsenal players after the duo have been heavily linked with a move out of the north London side.
Mikel Arteta would have to do everything in his power to ensure that he could retain both the players or else the board would have to back the manager to sign proper replacements which certainly would not come for cheap.
