Arsenal receive a boost over Juventus to sign one of the most talented midfielders this summer transfer market from France

Arsenal started their 2020/21 Premier League season on the perfect note after a resounding victory against the newly promoted Fulham. The Gunners started the game with Gabriel and Willian despite being debutants. However, Areta’s new men hit the ground running as Gabriel scored his first goal and Willian registered three assists to his name.

The north London side looks sharper than ever under the former Manchester assistant manager. The club will be hoping to finish in the top four this season and to play in the Champions League next season. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has also signed a contract extension which is fantastic news for the club. However, the good news just does not end there as Houssem Aouar of Lyon has reportedly demanded for a move to the Emirates Stadium.

Houssem Aouar has won the hearts of Olympique Lyon fans after his performances last season. The French club’s fans were dejected after their star player Nabil Fekir completed a move to Real Betis, however, Aouar performances in the league and the Champions League last season has made the fans of Lyon believe that they have found their replacement for Fekir.

However, the Ligue 1 side are in for a heartbreak as the French midfielder has been linked with a move to Juventus and Arsenal. According to David Ornstein, the Gunners have an advantage over the young midfielder as Juve are apparently no longer in the competition to sign the player.

The Premier League side is also keen on signing Thomas Partey of Atletico Madrid. Mikel Arteta would most likely have to opt for either one player as the club currently faces an economic recession due to the pandemic. Areta could either opt for Partey who would add more stability to the midfield that can give Ceballos more freedom to go up front or the manager could opt for Aouar who can add creativity as well as stability to the side.

Who would you like to see at the Emirates Stadium this season, Houssem Aouar or Thomas Partey?
