Arsenal talent grows frustrated with the lack of first-team action and reportedly wants out from the Emirates in January
Mikel Arteta seems to be the chosen one to put Arsenal back to where they belong. The Spanish manager showed signs of promise as a coach after delivering the FA Cup and Community Shield, however, the recent win against Manchester United goes on to prove that Arteta will transform this side into a winning project.
The former Manchester City assistant manager has had to deal with certain complicated situations as well. The Mesut Ozil case lately has been the biggest issue at the Emirates Stadium as the highest-paid player in the squad was not registered for the Premier League season.
However, Ozil is not the only one who is currently facing a tough time in the north London club. At the moment, Sokratis Papastathopoulos and William Saliba face the same brunt as the German midfielder. The Greek defender has been left out from the Premier League and Europa League squad as Mikel Arteta has a wide option of central defenders to choose from.
Saliba, who came up the ranks from the Arsenal youth academy seemed like a promising talent, however, the youngster has a bleak feature at the club. Having said that, reports now state that the promising 19-year-old Frenchman wants to go out on loan in January. It has also been reported that Saliba has grown frustrated with the lack of game time and is hoping to sign for a club where he could be promised regular first-team action
Players such as Rob Holding, Pablo Mari, Calum Chambers, David Luiz, and Gabriel Magalhaes are the first choice defenders for Arteta. Leaving no room for the talented 19-year-old, thus a loan over the winter would be a win-win situation for the club and the player.
