Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal will be looking to battle for the signature of Inter Milan superstar next summer.
Nicolo Barella has been emerging as one of the best midfielders in Europe for the last couple of years as the player has been a top performer in the Serie A. The former Cagliari man joined Inter Milan in the summer of 2019 on a loan with an obligation to buy with a four-year contract.
In the ongoing season, the 23-year-old has made six appearances for Antonio Conte‘s side and has provided three assists for the club in their league campaign. The Italian international was impressive in the recent Champions League game against Real Madrid and had managed to put up a strong display in midfield but eventually, the club succumbed to their first defeat in Europe as Zinedine Zidane‘s side won 3-2 at home.
Barella has previously received interest from other clubs but has not reciprocated to any of their offers as the Sardinia-born player wishes to stay at Inter. Back in July, the former Cagliari man confessed that he had received a lucrative offer from Napoli but had rejected the chance of joining the Naples based club as he was always focused on joining Inter Milan.
According to recent developments, it has been reported that clubs like Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United are ready to compete for the signature of the Inter midfielder next summer. These clubs previously enquired about the availability of the 23-year-old and if sources are to be believed then these English sides are now willing to reignite their interest to land the top-rated player in the 2021 transfer windows.
At present, Barella has a contract with the Nerazzurri which supposedly keeps him at the San Siro till the summer of 2024. There have been rumours which suggest that Antonio Conte’s side is willing to offer a new deal to the Italian which will reportedly extend his stay till June 2025. However, nothing yet is confirmed and it will be interesting to see how the youngster develops over time.
The Serie A outfit is slated to face Atlanta in a league game on Sunday and will be back on 22nd for their home against Torino. In the ongoing season, Inter Milan are sitting sixth in the Serie A with 11 points in six games and will restart their Champions League campaign against the Los Blancos on 25th.
