Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Dani Ceballos on a permanent transfer at the end of this season.

Arsenal have longed for creativity in their midfield and hence have tried to bring quality midfielders to their setup. The north Londoners did experience failure in their pursuit of some quality midfielders as they missed out on potential transfer targets such as Houssem Aouar and Dominik Szoboszlai.

The 2019/20 FA Cup winners do possess a reasonable set of midfielders in their present roster but are reportedly willing to add more quality after the end of the season. Mikel Arteta’s side did opt for a temporary acquisition in the winter as they signed Martin Odegaard on loan from Real Madrid for the remainder of the season.

There has speculation that the north London based side is keen to hand a permanent deal to one of their loanees. Todo Fichajes has claimed that Arsenal are looking to secure the services of Dani Ceballos this summer as they want to retain the player for a long haul. The former Real Betis man is in his second year at the Emirates and has fared well during his time in England.

Back in 2019, the Spaniard was signed on a year-long loan deal by the Gunners and had performed admirably in his debut season. His performances during his first season helped him earn a loan extension as Mikel Arteta was keen on having the Spaniard in his game plan.

The 24-year-old has seen himself develop in the Premier League and has become an improved player in the past couple of years. With relatively consistent minutes under his belt, the Spanish international has gained his confidence in the north London side which has seen him make 17 appearances in the league this season while providing two assists so far.

Dani Ceballos is generally deployed as a central midfielder in this Arsenal lineup and has often been assigned to take up a deeper role in the centre of the park. His ability to provide the creative spark upfront has often helped the side in creating more chances in the final third and hence has now seen him earn a more important role in the squad.

Real Madrid are likely to sell the Spaniard this summer in a bid to bring funds for their priority targets like Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe. The Merengues are looking to recover at least 30 million euros from the sale of their loanee. The Gunners will be looking to pay the required fee before the start of the next season and also avoid any further delay into this proposed transfer.
