Antonio Conte makes a demand to be reunited with former Chelsea colleague to play an integral role at Inter Milan.

After years of watching rivals, Juventus lift the Serie-A title, and not having won a single trophy since 2011. Inter Milan have lost their status as one of Europe’s elites and the days are gone when they were dreaded by teams around the continent.

For the 2019-2020 season, the club appointed former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte as head coach for the Italian side, and what followed can only be described as a very valíant effort to rebuild the team and restore the former glory the club possesses. Finishing in the Serie-A by just a single point, and having a very good run in the Europa League, Conte’s men have done brilliantly this season.

Coupled with results on the pitch, the Italian manager has also pulled some great moves off the pitch to strengthen his side with the addition of players Christian Eriksen and Achraf Hakimi to his side. It seems like the only major thing the Nerazzurri lack is a defender and a few midfielders.

For his Midfield plans, Conte has eyes on Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante who has played under the Italian before and was the man who pulled the strings in the midfield for the Blues when the Italian was in charge of the team.

The French defensive-midfielder is regarded as one of the best in the game with his impeccable work rate and abilities, but with new coach Frank Lampard, it seems like the services of the World Cup winner might not be required any longer. The Chelsea legend does not have any plans on including Kante in the plans for the clubs, so it seems like Inter might be able to secure a move for the charismatic Frenchman.

With the funds obtained from the sale of 5’6 midfielder, Lampard will hope to continue his buying streak for the Blues, with Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech his recent signings, and his next target being Bayer Leverkusen’s Kai Havertz. Like Inter, Lampard hopes to bring about the renovation of the Chelsea squad and also try to be Premier League competitors next season and bring back the glory days of the club.

It remains to be seen where the 29-year-old will e playing next season, but there are high possibilities of a possible move as it will be beneficial for both clubs concerned, and might also result in the increase of playtime for the talented midfielder.
