N’GOLO KANTE MAY HAVE A FUTURE AT CHELSEA

N’Golo Kante started the match against Brighton after being benched in the final five Premier League fixtures and the FA Cup Final last season. He had a very good game and intercepted several threats in the final-third to help the Blues through. Given his inclusion on Monday, there is now a chance that he stays at the club.

Inter Milan have been interested in landing the former Leicester City ace, but even Frank Lampard would know that all his players will come handy in the competition for silverware. The west Londoners are also involved in the Champions League this year, and to keep probing for every competition, workaholic players like Kante will come handy.

HISTORY IS ON CHELSEA’S SIDE

However, most of that was owing to the transfer ban. Chelsea must now believe that after a major revamp, history is on their side.

On the last two occasions that the club has played and won a Monday evening fixture on its first Premier League matchday, they have gone on to win the league. For footballers and fans alike, there are a lot of superstitions and only time will tell if this one holds true. Can the Chels lift the Premier League in May 2021?
