3 talking points as Liverpool dominated and outclassed Atalanta in the UEFA Champions League as the Reds scored 5 past the Italians

Liverpool went to Bergamo to face arguably the toughest opponents in free-scoring Atalanta and made light work of them. The Reds put Gasperini’s team to the sword in a ruthless display of counterattacking football of the highest order. Klopp rested¬† Roberto Firmino and decided to play pacy Jota who would be more effective in counter-attacks and that paid rich dividends as Jota’s inclusion proved to be the difference in the match. Jota’s direct running caused problems to the Atalanta backline who could not cope with him all match.
